Why YOU should support the “Electoral Freedom Act of 2009" (Senate Bill - 731)
The political system of America is, by default, a two-party system. It was not designed this way - political parties are never mentioned in the Constitution or any of the early founding documents. It just evolved that way. As it continued to evolve, it took the form of an elaborate game where the winning team (party) was the team that could gather the most votes. Capturing votes became the sole purpose of the parties. Platforms exist only to better define the targeted voters. Platforms and principles became meaningless beyond their usefulness in luring a gullible voting population into their snare. As with most games, it just seems to work out better for those in the game if there are only two teams. Other teams ("third party" organizations) complicated things and did not benefit the key players. They were, for all practical purposes, shut out of the process. They still exist, but as long as voters believe that a vote for a third party candidate is a vote wasted, it will continue to be a game between two players who have no incentive to be held accountable to the people beyond winning the game. Have you ever noticed there doesn't seem to be much difference between candidates and political parties these days? How come good candidates seldom ever qualify to run? Could it be a pre-arranged process that makes qualifying to run difficult, if not impossible? Why, when a good candidate does get into a race, is he shut out of debates and shunned by the media. Could this be to make it harder to raise campaign funds?

Emerging political party caters to conservatives
One local man’s passion for politics was reawakened after he was introduced to the Constitution Party during the last election cycle.
Richard Singletary was just one voice in a huge Internet movement that gathered behind Republican Presidential Candidate Ron Paul, whose message is a return to the limited federal government prescribed in the Constitution.

It labels Americans with a variety of political beliefs as potential "militia members", "domestic terrorists" and "radicals".

Marriage Act Rally March 3rd Raleigh, NC
A delegation from the Constitution Party of North Carolina attended the Rally in Support of Traditional Marriage on March 3rd, 2009.( See #1 attached Picture) The Rally was supported by 3,000+ citizens (see #2 attached Picture) standing in snow, due to the inclement weather and many were unable to attend the planned Rally. Last year (see #3 Picture) the weather was better an thousands more attended than this year. North Carolina law defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman. But speakers at the event said a voter-approved amendment would protect traditional marriage more and push back potential court challenges. Thirty states have such bans.

CPNC at the Hickory, NC Gun Show
We would like to thank everyone who came by our booth at the C&E Gun Show on November 15 and 16 in Hickory, NC. This was the first show we attended after the elections, as well as kick-off of our petition drive for 2012 Ballot Access. While at the show we found that many are becoming open to the possibility of coming over to the Constitution Party, in light of the recent election results for President and people beginning to see that the GOP is no longer the conservative political party and by no means a constitutionalist party.

No longer BFFs: Chuck Baldwin and Ron Paul (IndyWeek article)
Comments posted to this article at indyweek are listed after the article.
In an April 2008 Internet column, Baptist pastor and conservative talk-radio host Chuck Baldwin wrote, "I am convinced that only a miracle can save America now."
"I am expecting God to grant such a miracle," continued Baldwin, a former Florida state chairman in Jerry Falwell's Moral Majority. "Beyond that, I am willing to do my part to place myself in a position to let God use my voice and my vote to accomplish this miracle. And if that means voting for someone who 'has no chance of winning' in order to let God take the glory for whatever victory results, it is the least I can do. So, who will join me?"

A WASTED VOTE
When asked why they will not vote for a third party candidate, many people will respond by saying something like, "He cannot win." Or, "I don't want to waste my vote." It is true: America has not elected a third party candidate since 1860. Does that automatically mean, however, that every vote cast for one of the two major party candidates is not a wasted vote? I don't think so.

Taxation without Representation
I wanted to share my thoughts with you on the current election laws in North Carolina and just why they are so unconstitutional. When our Forefathers set out to form a government in which the power was given to the people, They understood the needs for election and even more the need for a free election. They understood the need for Representation and that people could not be tax without first agreeing with what they were being taxed for.

CPNC Update! "Principle over Politics" September 15, 2008
Updated
Members of the CPNC,
The 2008 CPNC state convention was a success. The attending officers and members made a lot of progress in several key areas of the CPNC operation. A new CPNC State Executive committee was voted into office. The By-laws were updated and passed. A new logo and Motto were adopted for the CPNC. That's to name just a few of the changes that have taken place. You can find a copy of the new By-laws and platform on our newly designed website. You can also find information for the new CPNC State Executive committee on the state officers page.
